There's no shortage of massive multi-million dollar homes in Nashville. From the huge country estates to the mansions with every amenity under the sun, plenty of luxury homes are found all throughout Nashville. However, if you don't know where to look, you may not be sure where the super-luxury homes are in Nashville.

When it's time to start shopping for a high-end Nashville home, it's time to start looking in a few specific neighborhoods. Here are a few of the top neighborhoods in Nashville for luxury homes.

Forest Hills

Found next to the Harpeth Hills Golf Course, Forest Hills offers plenty of great views and plenty of amazing homes. It's not the most expensive place in Nashville, but some of the homes come close to $3 million and it's hard to find anything here for less than $600K. Most of the homes will sell for above the $1 million mark and will include 4 or five bedrooms with acreage and more than 4,000 square feet. Even land in this area can be expensive with multi-acre plots going for more than $1 million, in some cases.

It's not uncommon to find acreage here, either. Homes found in Forest Hills often include multiple acres with some properties offering more than 5 acres of land.

Oak Hill

Maybe the most super-luxury community in Nashville, Oakhill offers several homes for $5 to $6 million and more. This is a quiet suburban area with plenty of large homes and a wide range of prices for the discerning luxury home buyer. Homes in Oak Hill often top the 7,000 square foot mark and many will go above 10,000 square feet.

It's not uncommon to find a home on 2 to 5 acres of land with 5 to 7 bedrooms and more than 8,000 square feet here. Of course, these homes will go for $2.5 million and up. New construction homes can even be found here, as well. While it is possible to find a home for less than $1 million here, most of the lower priced homes are in need of updates. They will also be smaller homes with less acreage.

Hill Place

A convenient neighborhood only 6 miles from Downtown Nashville, Hill Places offer plenty of luxury homes. If you love the idea of enjoying historic architecture, this is the place for you. Plenty of the homes date back many years and even those that have been renovated still have a classic look and feel.

You'll be hard-pressed to find a home in Hill Place for less than $1 million. Some will go for more than $5 million with more than 10,000 square feet and a couple acres of land. Even the homes ranging from $1 million to $2 million will usually include at least three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Most will cover more than 4,000 square feet with plenty topping the 5,000 square foot range.

Not as many homes will be found for sale in Hill Place as Oak Hills or Forest Hills. When homes here go up for sale, they may not last as long, either. The super-luxury homes mix classic styles with modern amenities, which make homes in Hill Place very desirable for luxury buyers in Nashville.

If you're looking for a high-end home in Nashville, these are three of the best luxury neighborhoods to consider.
