LOCKELAND SPRINGS

Arguably one of the most notable neighborhoods in East Nashville is Lockeland Springs.   Located just beyond Edgefield and East End from downtown, Lockeland Springs is roughly bounded by 14th Street and Eastland Avenue between Gallatin Road and Shelby Avenue, and bordered by Shelby Park.  Architectural styles of homes in Lockeland Springs include Queen Anne, the Classical Revival style, Bungalow, and Craftsman-style cottages, along with romantic English Cottages in a mix of historic homes.

Lockeland Springs neighborhood is home to the popular “5 Points” hot spot for restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, all with the eclectic East Nashville vibe.  Among the more popular destinations are 3 Crow Bar, Bongo Java Coffee, Beyond the Edge Sports Bar, Batter’d & Fried, Red Door East, I Dream of Weenie, Marché, Margot, Mad Donna’s, the Lipstick Lounge and many more.  “Five-points” also hosts the annual Tomato Fest, a popular festival centered around the tomato.
